On Wednesday, April 29, from 9:00 a.m – 6:00 p.m, Floridians will participate in the Florida People’s Hearing, a community hearing to identify your needs, and the policies and changes we can work towards together, testify to the threats to our lives and land, lay the groundwork for policies and movements that will secure what we want for ourselves and our communities.

On Thursday, April 30 and Friday, May 1, 500 organizers and community members will gather together in Florida for a training designed to meet this moment — moving from scattered mobilization to disciplined, collective nonviolent targeted action; building the unity, skill, and courage to act in coordinated and powerful way; and preparing to confront authoritarianism, challenge inequality, and grow the organized people power needed to win lasting change.

The training on Thursday begins at 9:00 a.m. and concludes at 6:00 p.m. An optional breakfast is available at 8:00 a.m. Lunch will be served midday, and an optional dinner will be held at 6:00 p.m.

On Friday, May 1, organizers will gather at 9 a.m. to continue the coordinated training in the morning, and participate in a united action to uplift labor on International Workers’ Day (May Day). Location to be announced.

Deadline for making hotel reservations is April 17th, 2026
